Match the continuous output-power and input configuration to your operating voltage and current. The model ranges do not replace the complete permitted operating conditions.
120V Bench Power Supply Features
The 12010, 12020 and 12030 families share an adjustable 0–120V output range but differ in current capacity. C models use two-knob controls and list programmable serial-interface choices. Their four-knob counterparts provide separate coarse and fine adjustment.
The product tables list automatic CV/CC operation, output enable/disable control, fan cooling and multiple protective functions. For automated tests, match the interface configuration and command support to the test controller rather than choosing from the voltage rating alone.
Choose a 120V Supply for Your Test
- A 100V, 8A load: eTM-12010C and eTM-12010 are 10A candidates. The load needs 800W; higher-current models are not automatically necessary.
- A 120V, 20A test: eTM-12020C and eTM-12020 cover the current range. The load requires 2400W, so the 110–130V option capped at 1200W is insufficient.
- Up to 30A with computer control: eTM-12030C offers the 30A range and programmable interface options. Select the serial interface for the test system and an output/input configuration supporting the operating point.
120V DC Power Supply FAQ
Does 120V refer to DC output or the mains socket?
Here it refers to adjustable DC output up to 120V. AC mains input is a separate specification and product option; this is not a fixed-output 120V AC supply.
Which model should I choose for 120V and 15A?
eTM-12020C or eTM-12020 covers the 15A requirement. The 10A models do not. The load needs 1800W, so select a continuous-output configuration rated for it.
Can I adjust a 120V supply down to 48V?
Yes. The specified 0–120V range includes 48V. A 48V, 20A load needs 960W; eTM-12020C is a current-range candidate.
Can a 120V, 30A test use the 110V input option?
eTM-12030C limits that option to output power ≤1200W. A 120V, 30A load needs 3600W, so choose an appropriate higher-power input/output configuration.
What is the difference between C and four-knob models?
Compare eTM-12010C with eTM-12010. C uses two knobs and lists programmable interface options; the four-knob model offers coarse/fine manual controls and lists On/Off/Read communication.
Why does output voltage decrease at the current limit?
When the load reaches the selected current limit, CC operation adjusts the voltage to regulate current. Set the limit for the device under test and allow for its normal start-up demand.
