200V Bench and Linear Power Supply Features

Adjustable voltage and current limits support tests at different working points, while automatic CV/CC switching regulates voltage or current according to the load. The bench models combine encoder adjustment, output enable/disable control and protections against overvoltage, overcurrent, overpower, overtemperature and short circuits.

The eTM-L2002 linear models offer a different specification set: voltage ripple of ≤1mVrms and voltage setting accuracy of ±(0.03% of reading + 10mV) at 25±5°C. Their five- and six-digit versions differ in display resolution; additional digits do not by themselves mean a more accurate output.

Which 200V Model Fits Your Test?

  • Low-ripple testing up to 2A: compare eTM-L2002SP and eTM-L2002SP+. Both are linear models with 0–200V and 0–2A ranges; the six-digit version displays finer increments. Choose the display format and control configuration that suit your bench.
  • A load requiring 200V and 3A: compare eTM-2003 and eTM-2003C. The load requires 600W; these are the 3A candidates, with four- and two-knob controls respectively.
  • A load requiring 200V and 5A: compare eTM-2005 and eTM-2005C. The load requires 1000W. Match the continuous output configuration and any start-up current to that requirement.
  • Computer-controlled voltage/current settings: eTM-2003C and eTM-2005C offer programmable interface options. For stored test sequences, eTM-L2002SP+ lists Modbus/SCPI support and storage/recall of 100 voltage/current sets.

200V DC Power Supply FAQ

Which 200V power supply should I choose for a 5A load?

Compare eTM-2005 and eTM-2005C, both listing 0–200V and 0–5A ranges. The L2002 linear models are limited to 2A. For a 200V, 5A operating point, the load needs 1000W; include start-up demand when choosing the output configuration.

Can I use a 200V DC supply at 100V or 150V?

Yes. The models listed here have continuously adjustable 0–200V output. A 150V, 3A load requires 450W; compare eTM-2003 and eTM-2003C. A 2A model does not meet that 3A current requirement.

Should I choose a linear 200V supply or a higher-current bench model?

For tests up to 2A where the published ripple and setting accuracy matter, compare the L2002 linear range, such as eTM-L2002SPD+. For 3A or 5A loads, choose the corresponding eTM-2003 or eTM-2005 family. Match the specification to the load rather than choosing by voltage alone.

Does a six-digit 200V supply have better accuracy than a five-digit model?

The L2002 tables list the same voltage setting accuracy, ±(0.03% of reading + 10mV) at 25±5°C. eTM-L2002SP+ lists 1mV/0.01mA display resolution, while eTM-L2002SP lists 10mV/0.1mA. Six digits provide finer display resolution; resolution and accuracy are different specifications.

Can I program voltage and current through RS232 or USB?

Yes, with a suitable programmable configuration. eTM-2005C offers RS232, RS485, USB and RS232 plus analogue control options. The L2002SP+ page lists Modbus/SCPI and stored sequences. Four-knob bench model descriptions list optional On/Off/Read communication, so choose a C or L2002 configuration when your test requires programmed voltage/current settings. Confirm the supplied interface before ordering.

Can I select 110V input for a 200V bench supply?

The eTM-2005C order form offers 110–130V input for output power of 1200W or less, alongside 220–240V input. A 200V, 5A load requires 1000W, within that stated power ceiling; continuous output and installation requirements still apply. L2002 linear specification tables separately list AC110V/220V toggle input.

Why does the voltage fall when my load draws more current?

Once the set current limit is reached, the supply enters CC mode and adjusts voltage to regulate current. Automatic CV/CC switching is listed for these models. Set a current limit appropriate for the load and use a model with enough current capacity for the test.
