Choose a 250V Linear Supply for Your Test

Small voltage and current setting changes

The six-digit plus versions list voltage display resolution of 1mV and current resolution of 0.01mA. The five-digit versions list 10mV and 0.1mA. Compare eTM-L2501SPV with eTM-L2501SPV+ for a VFD display, or select another display type in the table. Finer display increments make small changes easier to see; output accuracy is a separate specification.

Low-current measurements and bench development

All eight compared models list 0–1A current ranges. The L2501 specifications list voltage setting accuracy of ±(0.03% of reading + 10mV) at 25±5°C and voltage ripple/noise of ≤1mVrms. For a test at 200V and 0.5A, the load requires 100W. Match the current limit, continuous output and measurement conditions to the connected equipment.

Computer-controlled tests and repeated settings

eTM-L2501SP+ lists SCPI and Modbus compatibility, stored/recallable parameter sets and sequence-test functions. Its product description lists RS232/RS485/USB/Ethernet interface choices, with configuration differences that should be confirmed for the order. eTM-L2501SPL+ offers a six-digit color screen and lists a front USB interface; confirm the role of that port and the required computer-control connection before selecting the configuration.

Features of the L2501 Linear Series

  • Adjustable CV/CC output: continuously adjustable voltage and current with automatic switching between constant-voltage and constant-current modes.
  • Display choices: select VFD, digital-tube, blue-screen or color-screen models, with five- or six-digit display resolution.
  • Protective functions: the specifications list overload, reverse-polarity, overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection.
  • Input flexibility: the model specifications list AC110V/220V toggle input. Match the switch setting to the installation supply.
  • Model-specific controls: the eTM-L2501SPV lists a built-in buzzer and one-click key lock; the eTM-L2501SP lists ten shortcut parameter sets. Choose these features on the corresponding model rather than assuming every version is identical.

250V Power Supply FAQs

Which 250V DC power supply is best for a 1A laboratory test?

Choose among the L2501 models above, all listing 0–250V and 0–1A. Compare the display type, setting resolution and control functions. For finer display increments, consider a six-digit plus version such as eTM-L2501SPV+; for programmable blue-screen operation, compare eTM-L2501SP+.

What is the difference between five-digit and six-digit 250V models?

Five-digit versions list 10mV voltage and 0.1mA current display resolution; six-digit plus versions list 1mV and 0.01mA. The published voltage setting accuracy is a separate specification, so a finer display does not by itself prove higher accuracy.

Can I use a 250V power supply at 100V or 200V?

Yes. The listed models specify continuously adjustable 0–250V output. Set the voltage and current limit for the load and check the required continuous power. A 200V, 0.5A load needs 100W.

Can these 250V models supply 2A?

The eight L2501 models here list a maximum current of 1A. They do not cover a 2A requirement. Select a supply with a current range and continuous power rating that cover the intended working point.

Can I use SCPI or Modbus to control a 250V supply?

The eTM-L2501SP+ product description lists both SCPI and Modbus compatibility. Confirm the selected interface, supported commands and required sequence functions for your software. Do not assume the same configuration for every display version.

Can I order a 250V linear supply for 110V or 220V mains?

The L2501 model specifications list AC110V/220V toggle input. Verify the installation voltage and correct input setting before use, and select the exact product configuration when ordering.
