50V Bench Power Supply Features
The 50V range emphasizes current capacity. The 5020 and 5030 families provide 20A and 30A candidates; 5050C and 5060 models extend the range to 50A and 60A. C versions offer two-knob controls and programmable serial options, while four-knob versions provide coarse/fine adjustment.
Automatic CV/CC operation, output switching and fan cooling support manual bench work. Size the input circuit and output wiring for the chosen operating point, including start-up demand. The listed maximum current does not force that current into a lower-current load.
Choose a 50V Supply for Your Test
- A 24V, 20A load: eTM-5020C and eTM-5020 cover the current range. The load needs 480W.
- A 48V, 30A working point: eTM-5030C and eTM-5030 are 30A candidates. This requires 1440W and exceeds the 1200W limit of the listed 110–130V input option.
- A 50V, 50A or 60A test: eTM-5050C and eTM-5060C offer the respective ranges. The load requirements are 2500W and 3000W; select the complete power configuration accordingly.

Which 50V DC supply can run a 48V, 20A device?
eTM-5020C and eTM-5020 cover 48V and 20A. The load requires 960W; allow for start-up demand and the continuous-output configuration.
Can I use a 50V variable supply for a 12V test?
Yes, the specified 0–50V range includes 12V. Choose current capacity for the device and set an appropriate current limit. A 12V, 50A load needs 600W.
Can a 50V, 60A working point use 110V mains?
eTM-5060C lists a 1200W ceiling for 110–130V input. A 50V, 60A load requires 3000W, so select an input/output configuration rated for that demand.
How do the two-knob and four-knob 50V models differ?
eTM-5030C uses two-knob controls with programmable interface options. eTM-5030 provides four-knob coarse/fine adjustment; its communication description lists On/Off/Read.
Can I control voltage and current from a computer?
eTM-5050C and eTM-5060C list programmable serial-port choices. Select the interface and confirm supported commands for your controller.
Does a 60A rating mean my device receives 60A?
No. In CV mode the load draws current according to its operating conditions, within the set limit. CC mode regulates current once that limit is reached.
